What's New......
Here are some initial photos from the Prospector 14LM flight test that took place Saturday, 12 April 2008 out at the FAR site in the Mojave desert. The P-14 is a refurbished version of the P-1 that original was developed and flown back in 2001. The key feature of this joint CSULB/GSC-sponsored mission was a 1,000 lbf-thrust LOX-methane engine that was developed by CSULB students as part of a senior design course. We believe this is the first actual powered rocket flight to utilize this propellant combination, which has significant potential for use in future planetary exploration projects.
